Moi j'aime pas mes avatars en toute honnêteté, je les mets parfois sur les forums comme PRD et Acide Edulcoré, mais en RPG quand je fais ma galerie c'est les gifs qui sont prioritaires. (dû au complexe de pas avoir Photoshop^^)

La différence est que Photofiltre est un logiciel gratuit qui permet de ne faire que des choses basiques quoi. Photoimpact est plus pro, un peu comme photoshop mais bon photoshop est très cher et bien sur c'est le plus connu pour faire des créations.

Je dirais que déjà avec Photoimpact, on peut faire des animations du style rajouter des bulles qui s'envole sur l'image, des étoiles, du feu (ideal pour des avatars animés sur charmed bref --') et j'en passe y'a aussi la pluie ou de la neige. Des filtres colorés pro, tout un tas d'effet qui ne se trouve pas dans l'autre quoi^^

Pour conclure je dirais que c'est mon favori, bien sur je dis ça car je n'ai pas photoshop. Mais photofiltre ne me permet pas de faire grand chose aux niveaux des colorings et des contrastes de photos c'est limite.
